Privacy of Email and Physical Addresses

We Don’t Spam. We don’t sell or rent your email address or any other information to others. We do use 3rd-party providers (such as our shopping cart) and they only have access to your email to help us sell and deliver your curriculum to you. To the best of our knowledge, the only times you will receive an email from us is if you send us a message first to which we will reply as quickly as we can, if you subscribe to our email updates (which you may always unsubscribe from), if you purchase an Afterschool Publishing program you will receive our standard purchase emails regarding your receipt of payment and links for digital delivery, new release emails (which you may always unsubscribe from) and possibly the occasional quality assurance email, and in the unlikely event, you will hear from us if there are any difficulties regarding a purchase. If you purchase an Afterschool Publishing Program, we will include your physical mailing address to our marketing list. This list is never sold or rented to others. We send postcards and other mailers to inform you of new releases and special deals. We occasionally run contests and other incentive programs for people to earn coupons towards discounted or free Afterschool Publishing programs. We only gather emails in these cases so as to send you any necessary information or coupons accordingly.

Privacy of Financial Details

We Don’t Handle Your Financial Information. Currently we are investigating multiple shopping cart/purchasing options and for now, your purchase will be through Paypal. You do not have to have an account with Paypal, simply purchase using a credit card as a guest on the checkout page. We do not see or handle your financial information. Paypal forwards your name, email address, shipping address, and the title of your purchase. We keep this information to be able to provide you with any and all customer support you may need (also, see email privacy policy above) as well as to be able to confirm which Program(s) you have bought.

The other area we should discuss is our tracking policies of visitors to this website. We do track how our visitors use our website so we can continually improve the site. This tracking is not personally identifiable. The software we use will tell us the browser you are using, the pages you visit, and so on. We never connect this information to any specific person. We seek information such as “25% of our users use Firefox as a browser”. This helps us improve our website for optimization efforts so you have the easiest and clearest experience possible with our website, the purchasing steps, and our products.

SECURITY MEASURES

We use the SSL/HTTPS protocol throughout our site. This encrypts our user communications with the servers so that personal identifiable information is not captured/hijacked by third parties without authorization.

In case of a data breach, system administrators will immediately take all needed steps to ensure system integrity, will contact affected users and will attempt to reset passwords if needed.

Your License and Use of an Afterschool Publishing Program

The purchase of an Afterschool Publishing Program entitles you to our best efforts at complete customer satisfaction and the use of the Program between yourself and/or your staff and any/all participants in your care. If you have purchased this Program or Programs with your own funds and move to another job, you carry your license with you and may use the Program(s) freely with the participants at your new site. If your employer has purchased the Program(s), you must leave the Program(s) with them. You do NOT have permission to copy or distribute any Program to others for sale, education, or other purpose. Like a book, you may lend a friend your copy of a Program but you may not photocopy the Program to give to others.
